Art in the Park June 28

I'm keeping the picture of Bandstand Park (aka Railroad Park) up for a while because its a good representation of old downtown Dassel in summer. Now we are gearing up for Red Rooster Days, our community festival over Labor Day weekend. Our big part in it is the annual Red Rooster Fine Arts Show. We invite local artists (local meaning 5, 25, 2,500 mile radius of Dassel [have you ever been to, heard of Dassel?]) to enter up to 3 pieces of original work in most any medium. The show is then juried by 2 renowned, or should be renowned, artists from outside the area. If you are interested in more information e-mail me at Robert Wilde Studios. Meanwhile ...

We are back to our regular Monday through Saturday hours: Mon-Fri 10-5, Sat 9-3.
Are you fan of photographer Duane Paulson or of black & white photography? Check our gallery pages for Duane's display - he has added 17 new images of large format B&W prints from the Lake Superior and Duluth area, St John's Abbey and the St Cloud area.
Also just in are fused glass items by Carol Oitzman: bowls, wind-chimes and jewelry!

Be sure to ask for your 10% discount on all framing jobs and mention you saw it on the website!

The studio, located at 301 Atlantic Avenue West in Dassel, Minnesota, is a premier Giclée and digital print studio with an art gallery representing local and regional artists. We represent 20+ Minnesota artists working in oil, acrylic, watercolor, colored pencil, photography, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, woodturning, leatherwork and more. Several of our artists have notecard editions of their work. These are archivally printed and suitable for framing, allowing a very affordable way for you to collect a mini-gallery of outstanding artwork.

My daughter Elisabeth Schmieg, who has been showing her work in the gallery for a number of years, brings her experience to our giclée printing department and our custom picture framing service.
Darin Packard - PACKARD PHOTO - continues to do digital reprints, restorations and enlargements of everything from family heirloom prints to slides to digital camera files.

Stop in when you are in Dassel, there is always a friendly face to greet you. Dassel is located approximately 50 miles west of Minneapolis, MN on U.S. Highway 12. The studio is one block south of Highway 12 on the corner of Third Street and Atlantic Avenue (the famous one sided main street). Gallery hours are Mon-Fri 10am-5pm, Sat 9am-3pm.

Just a note to tell you that we are doing code clean-up and adding some new features to the website. If any of you have had problems with pages not displaying properly these problems should begin to be cleared up. Let me know if you do find problem areas.
For those of you who are interested in Giclée printing we do have a new ftp site for uploading large graphic files. More explanation will soon be added to the Giclée print section.
